Looks like all the K-State beat writers spent themselves Wednesday dropping content from Big 12 Football Media Days, so now we are left to make up the gap to Friday with basically nothing. Thanks guys...

Yesterday, BracketCat got us to #44 and profiled Kyle Ball, a greyshirt freshman linebacker.

Dante Barnett and Jordan Willis really don't care much that they and two other made the preseason All-Big 12 list, because last year was bad and they aren't happy about it (Robinett, Wichita Eagle). And Bill Synder is ready to keep coaching and as excited as he's ever been (VIDEO, ESPN).

And since we have little else, here's some fun or interesting stuff from elsewhere. Researchers at K-State's Bio-security Research Institute are continuing on with Zika research despite a holdup with federal funds for the project (Justin Wingerter, Topeka Capital-Journal). The Kansas Jayhawk Conference presidents will vote on a proposal to allow for more players from border states, as well as increase roster sizes (Tony Adame, Wichita Eagle; h/t EveryCatAWildman). And last but not least, our weird cousins over at Wide Right and Natty Light came up with a different way to vet potential expansion candidates: Google Image Search (h/t AustinKat)
