K-State women's basketball secured a graduate transfer from Alabama, and the men's basketball team named their MVP.

Jon Morse gave Wildcat fans some good news yesterday as Jeff Mittie and the Women's Basketball squad welcomed the newest Wildcat, Alabama transfer Karyla Middlebrook.

Another take on the newest Wildcat point guard, Karyla Middlebrook. Middlebrook originally played in Blue Springs, MO before playing the past two years at Alabama. (Staff Reports, Capital Journal)

Monday evening was the Kansas State men's award banquet, and Kamau Stokes showed no signs of crutches or medical boot while making the rounds during the event. (Kellis Robinett, Wichita Eagle)

It was pretty obvious to anyone who watched K-State basketball this past season, but in case you didn't, Wesley Iwundu was named as team MVP during the award banquet Monday night. In addition to the MVP award, Iwundu also received the Jack Hartman award for Top Defensive Player. (Staff Reports, KSN.com)

Freddie McSwain took an official visit to Kansas State this past weekend. Following the visit McSwain listed his top two team as the Wildcats, and Indiana. McSwain intends to make his final decision following his visit to Indiana on April 18-20. (Alex Bozich, Insidethehall.com)
