Now it's time to say goodbye to two thousand sixteen. M-I-C-K-E-Y-M-O-U-S-E.

The Cats are hoping for a win today, which will make their postseason a lot easier. That is to say, a win today would all but ensure an NIT bid at the very least, which isn't really too much to complain about in the larger picture.

The early-season successes may have blinded us to the realities of the situation. Before the season, a lot of people thought that an NIT bid would be an actual accomplishment compared to their expectations -- regardless of their opinion on whether that's an acceptable goal for the Wildcat basketball program, of course.

So let's settle in and watch... and hope.
