Baylor at Kansas State: Open Game Thread

K-State gets a chance at two straight home wins over ranked team. This time it's the 19/21 Baylor Bears visiting Bramlage.

The last time Baylor dropped into Manhattan, K-State walked off the court 4-1 in Big 12 play. Then they died.

K-State should do that thing where it beats ranked teams more often. Saturday's win over Oklahoma was quite enjoyable. The good news in this year's Big 12 is that ample opportunities abound to notch home wins over ranked teams.

If the Wildcats get the win tonight, then the path to an NCAA Tournament appearance becomes even clearer. But with a young team, playing without its starting point guard, under a head coach who has struggled at times to coax consistent high-level performances from his team, nothing should be taken for granted.

And there's a reason Baylor is a top 20 team (although KenPom disagrees). The Bears are long and athletic, contest every rebound, and score efficiently. Nobody's going to confuse them with Oklahoma anytime soon, but that doesn't mean a win over the Bears will be easy.
