Bring on the PodCats with KMAN’s John Kurtz

New, comments

John Kurtz, the sports director at KMAN, generously took some time out of his busy schedule to tell Derek and I if we should be extra-worried about Kansas on Saturday (LOL) before discussing whether we can learn anything from K-State basketball's first three games.

KMAN’s John Kurtz joined the podcast for the first time and gave us some insights on Wildcat football even avid reporters like my co-host Derek Smith couldn’t have known. Benefits of working on the team’s radio broadcast, I suppose. We also discussed obvious things like whether Alex Barnes should get more carries, why it’s so perfect for Bill Snyder’s 200th win to come this weekend, and even how stupid Texas looks for the way it’s handling Charlie Strong.

Finally, we spent some time talking about Kansas State basketball, so it’s important to remember we had this discussion on Monday before the Wildcats won by a high school score of 60-41 over Robert Morris. Some players have impressed John thus far. Others? Not so much.
