Rumors of Tulane coming to the Big 12 have all but died, but fear not Wildcat fans. Tulane will be coming to Manhattan, KS in 2022 and 2026, and Cat fans will have a chance to party down in New Orleans in 2024 according to ESPN’s Brett McMurphy.
Kansas State, Tulane add 3-game series; 2022 & 2026 at KSU, 2024 at Tulane

John Currie confirmed Brett’s tweet while also acknowledging two other future opponents, Rutgers and North Dakota. Brett McMurphy provided the dates for the Rutgers game with the Scarlet Knights coming to the Little Apple in 2030 and the Wildcats traveling to the Garden State in 2031.
Stay tuned for my latest letter which includes a schedule update for @KStateFB - future games with Rutgers, Tulane and North Dakota added.

Kansas State, Rutgers add home/home series; 2030 at KSU, 2031 at RU. And yes, Bill Snyder will still be K-State’s coach then

That’s the North Dakota Fighting Hawks, not the North Dakota State Bison so fear not Wildcat fans, we don’t have to worry about the Bison continuing their FBS winning streak against us.
To recap that’s four new home games for Kansas State (Rutgers, Tulane twice, and North Dakota) and two road games (Rutgers, and Tulane) between now and 2031. That means Kansas State will play the following power 5 teams over the next 15 years.
- 2017 @ Vanderbilt
- 2018 Mississippi State
- 2019 @ Mississippi State
- 2020 Vanderbilt
- 2021 Stanford
- 2024 Arizona
- 2025 @ Arizona
- 2026 Washington State
- 2027 @ Colorado
- 2028 Colorado
- 2029 @ Washington State
- 2030 Rutgers
- 2031 @ Rutgers
That leaves 2022, and 2023 as the only seasons that Kansas State doesn’t currently have a power 5 team scheduled. I don’t know about anyone else, but I like the new model of having at least one power 5 team on Kansas State’s schedule.
