K-State vs Pitt State: Exhibition Open Game Thread

It’s time to start getting back in to basketball mode.

NCAA Basketball: Big 12 Conference Tournament-Kansas vs Kansas State Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Well that sure snuck up on us. When the football team is giving you enough to care about, I guess that will happen.

But tonight, in the friendly confines of the Octogon of Doom Bramlage Coliseum, the Kansas State Wildcats Men’s Basketball team begins their 2016 season.

Well sort of. It is an exhibition game after all. But it will be the first chance the 2016-17 version of the Cats will have against real live competition this year.

It should be a blowout, but really, anything is possible.

Many Wildcat fans will recognize the coach of the Gorillas. Kevin Muff, an ‘86 graduate of K-State, begins his 7th season at the helm in Pittsburg. Muff is 0-2 versus his Alma Mater, and Pitt State is 0-4 overall, with three of those losses coming in exhibition play.

The game will be available on FSN-KC in the state of Kansas and KC metro (DirecTV 671-5 | Dish 442/412-30). Outside of that area, it will be available on both K-StateHD.TV and ESPN3. Audio is available on the K-State Radio Network, as well as available for free online at K-StateSports.com.
