Week 6 is a little boring. Six of the top 10 are unchanged in what was the most static weekly poll yet.
The biggest risers were Navy (17 spots), Arizona State (13) and Virginia Tech (10). The Midshipmen and Hokies capitalized on big wins, while the Sun Devils benefited mainly from a lack of 25 truly impressive teams.
The biggest fall (eight places) belonged to Miami, which seems a little unfair considering all the Hurricanes did was miss an extra point against a team that always beats them. But such is life in college football polling.
Houston also slid eight spots, but that was more deserved. Arkansas dropped six and Tennessee hardly budged.
The three-way tie at No. 21 is the first time I can remember one of those in a BOTC Top 25. That sort of thing probably wouldn't happen if we had 10 voters like in years past. And Oklahoma sneaks in thanks to a pair of Pac-12 chokes.
(Note: This poll was compiled earlier in the week and does not take into account Louisville's shaky win over Duke.)
Voters are myself, Jon Morse, JT VanGilder, Luke Thompson, PurpleBrunette, TheBigE, wildcat00 and KSUEMAW!
