Going into an intense week of preparation for Oklahoma, K-State received top honors again from the Big 12. Two sophomores, Byron Pringle and D.J. Reed, were honored for their stellar performance in K-State’s back and forth victory over Texas Tech. While this is Pringle’s second time in the spotlight, this is Reed’s first Big 12 Player of the Week award.
For anyone that might have missed the game on Saturday, these two stood out as game changers. Not only did Reed intercept a pass and return it for a touchdown, that happened to be the first K-State pick-six since the 2014 game against Oklahoma. Also, with time running out of the first half, Pringle returned a kickoff for 99 yards and scored a touchdown.
Congratulations to these two young men and we look forward to more honors throughout the rest of the season. GO STATE!
