K-State at Iowa State: How to Watch

Do the Wildcats make it 9 in a row over the Cyclones?

NCAA Football: Iowa State at Texas Christian Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

The game: The Wildcats (4-3, 2-2, nr/nr) hit the road to face the Iowa State Cyclones (1-6, 0-4, nr/nr) in the 2016 edition of Farmageddon. A week ago, K-State continued its history of success against the Texas Longhorns with a 3-point win. A week before that, in Iowa State’s latest game, they lost by 21 to the same Longhorns. Unfortunately, the transitive property doesn’t work in college football, so we shouldn’t count on a 24-point win. Iowa State holds a narrow lead in the all-time series, celebrating its 100th game today, 49-46-4. Since 1990, though, K-State has dominated the series with a 22-4 record, including wins in the last eight matchups, although many of those have been nail-biters.

Odds: A number of online oddsmakers have K-State as 6- to 6.5-point favorites, with an over/under of 50.5 or 51. If that is right on the mark, look for a final score of within a point or so of a 28.5-22 Wildcat victory.

Kickoff: 11 a.m. CDT, Saturday, Oct. 29, from Jack Trice Stadium (capacity 61,500)

Television: FSN with Mark Followill on play-by-play, Ben Leber as analyst, and Lesley McCaslin on the sidelines.

Radio: K-State Sports Network with Wyatt Thompson, Stan Weber, and Matt Walters.
