The honors just keep rolling in for Jordan Willis this week after a Saturday performance that allowed K-State to keep its “We Own Texas” meme going for another year.
Earlier this week, Willis was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week. Now, Pro Football Focus has selected him as part of their “Team of the Week” at edge rusher, along with UCLA’s Takkarist McKinley.
PFF graded Willis out at a 92.6 — the fourth-highest rating given to a defensive player this week — and had this to say about Saturday’s performance:
It was a dominant all-around effort for Willis who finished with two sacks and five hurries on his 31 rushes while leading all 4-3 defensive ends with a run-stop percentage of 16.0 percent (four run stops on 26 snaps against the run) this week.
PFF has been rather kind to the Wildcats this year, previously grading the K-State offensive line as the third-best in the nation.
