Goal No. 10: NEVER GIVE UP. Never, never, never.
#10 Lucas Munds |
Position: Wide Receiver Previous College: None Projection: Third-String Status: Walk-On |
Lucas James Munds (b. Oct. 10, 1993) is a walk-on wide receiver from Hutchinson High School, which was a bit of a transition for him since Hutch High ran a flexbone offense that largely eschews traditional wide receivers.
A three-year letter-winner for the Salthawks under former head coach Randy Dreiling, Munds helped to lead the team to two state championships, while Hutchinson went 34-4 during his three-year varsity career.
He recorded more than 900 rushing yards as a senior, including a 117-yard effort in the 2011 Kansas Class 5A state championship game. Munds also lettered four years in basketball and two years in golf.
Munds redshirted in 2012 and played against Iowa State in 2013, but did not record any statistics. He also saw time in 2014 against both Stephen F. Austin and Kansas, but again did not record any statistics.
In 2015, Munds played against South Dakota, but guess what? Surprise! He did not record any statistics. He did, however, graduate from Kansas State in May with a degree in management.
