12 DAYS TO 2016 KICKOFF: Corey Sutton

In which BracketCat counts down the 12th day until the 2016 kickoff with a profile of wide receiver Corey Sutton.

Corey Sutton will inherit Stanton Weber's No. 12 jersey, but something tells me he will be more productive than his predecessor as a wide receiver.

He helped the Mavericks to earn a 14-1 record, including a 49-6 win in the Class 4AA state championship game.

Sutton previously played at Hough High School under Miles Aldridge, catching 41 passes for 584 yards and five touchdowns. He helped the Huskies earn a 10-4 record with a state semifinal finish in North Carolina’s Class 4AA.
