Steven West (b. Nov. 13, 1992) is an athletic player who has seen limited action as a reserve wide receiver through his career. He will compete for more playing time as a senior after graduating in May with a marketing degree.

West caught 52 passes for 1,003 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior at Fossil Ridge High School under head coach Tony Baccarini, and had 52 catches, 852 yards and 10 touchdowns in his senior season. He was a first-team All-District 7-5A selection by Rivals.com in 2010 and a first-team All-District 5-5A pick by TexasHSFootball.com.

He grayshirted in 2011, redshirted in 2012 and did not see game action in 2013, but in 2014, he played in four games, including the Stephen F. Austin contest, in which he hauled in a 15-yard touchdown pass in mop-up duty.

Last season, West played in six games, catching three passes for 42 yards. He set career highs for receptions (two), yards (36) and long catch (27) at Texas Tech, and also caught a 6-yard pass at Oklahoma State.
