#18 D.J. Render |
Position: Wide Receiver Previous College: None Projection: Redshirt Status: On Scholarship |
Darrel Joseph Render (b. March 25, 1998) is a speedy, athletic wide receiver who plans on majoring in journalism with the hope of becoming a sports commentator. At just 175 pounds, he is extremely likely to redshirt in 2016.
Render wore No. 24 at North Cobb High School and on his official visit, but since that number currently is occupied by senior running back Charles Jones, it looks as if Render instead will wear Zach Davidson's vacated No. 18.
Render played for the Warriors under head coach Shane Queen. He recorded 52 catches for 520 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior in 2015 en route to all-county honors and multiple offensive player of the week accolades.
He helped to lead the team to consecutive state playoff appearances as a junior and senior; played basketball, also leading that team to the state playoffs; and competed in the long jump.
Render projects well as a slot receiver and a kickoff or punt returner. Check out his highlights for more:
