#23 Cre Moore
Position: Defensive Back
Previous College: None
Status: On Scholarship
Cre Ahmani Moore (b. June 10, 1995) is a young defensive back who saw limited action as a reserve in 2014 and 2015. He will compete for more playing time as a junior after allegedly leaving the team for a brief period last year.
Moore redshirted in 2013 and played in five games in 2014 — seeing time as a reserve cornerback against Stephen F. Austin, UTEP, Oklahoma State, TCU and Kansas — but he did not record any statistics.
The same was true last season, when Moore played in four games — against South Dakota, UTSA, Oklahoma State and Kansas — and also for the Purple team in the 2016 spring game, but again did not record any statistics.
Kansas State coaches found Moore at Broken Arrow (Okla.) High School in the Tulsa suburbs, playing for head coach Steve Spauital. He had interest from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and several smaller colleges.
Moore was named to the Oklahoma Top 11 All-State team as a senior and was a 2012 All-State Class 6A selection at cornerback by The Daily Oklahoman.
A three-year starter who recorded four interceptions and 100 tackles in his final two years, Moore helped Broken Arrow to earn a runner-up finish in the Oklahoma Class 6A state championship game in 2011.
Moore also was a standout in track and field who helped to set a school record in the 4x100 relay. Rivals.com listed him as a three-star player and the No. 14 player in the state of Oklahoma in 2012.
