76 DAYS TO 2016 KICKOFF: Ajahne Brager

In which BracketCat counts down the 76th day until the 2016 kickoff with a profile of offensive lineman Ajahne Brager.

For some reason, Ajahne Brager reminds me physically of K-State great Ryan Young. I don't think he's quite that talented, though — Young played multiple seasons in the NFL.

Ajahne Dequan Brager (b. Nov. 27, 1994) is a young offensive lineman who benefited from a redshirt season in 2013. He has seen action as a reserve guard and tackle, and on special teams each of the last two seasons.

He will look to take another step forward and compete for a starting spot on the line as a junior.

An all-district performer as a junior in 2011 and second-team pick in 2012, Brager recorded 162 tackles, 14 sacks and 11 forced fumbles during his prep career at Magnolia High School, so he has some history playing defense.

In 2014, Brager played in four games, serving as a reserve offensive lineman against Stephen F. Austin, UTEP, Oklahoma State and Kansas. He was listed as Cody Whitehair's primary backup at left tackle.

Interestingly enough, though, Brager did not start for either the Purple or White teams in the 2015 spring game.

He played in six games last season, seeing time against South Dakota, UTSA, Texas, Texas Tech, Iowa State and Kansas. Brager then started for the Purple team at right guard in the 2016 spring game after gaining 23 pounds.

I suppose if offensive line doesn't work out for him, Brager has the potential to switch to defensive tackle for us later.
