After the disaster at Allen, it's time to get back on the right track and pick up an all-important road win in Lubbock. As bad as Tech may be, a Big 12 road win is still an important thing -- and the Wildcats are now in a position where they simply can't afford to drop this one.
The Technosition
The Technosition
The game: Kansas State visits the Texas Tech Red Raiders. K-State leads the all-time series 21-10, with five wins and no losses coming before the creation of the Big 12. The Wildcats will be trying to take the advantage in Lubbock finally, as the series is tied 7-7 in West Texas. Bruce Weber has never lost to Tech; Tubby Smith has never beaten K-State. Weber has won 9 of the 12 meetings between the two coaches.
Odds: K-State, on the road, is a 3.5 point favorite. Woohoo!
Tipoff: Wednesday, February 4 at 8:00pm CT, United Supermarket Arena (15,098) in Lubbock, Texas.
Tickets: $20. They're making a big push to sell this one out, and I see nothing wrong with helping them. And wearing purple.
Television: ESPNU with Clay Matvick and Reid Gettys.
Radio: K-State Sports Network, with Wyatt Thompson and Stan Weber. The game will be available on Sirius/XM 91, with the Texas Tech feed provided by Brian Hanni and Chris Level.
Online: Video streaming via WatchESPN. Free audio streaming available via KStateHD.tv. Live stats via Gametracker.
