K-State defeats KU, court storming gets too close for Jayhawks

Scott Sewell-USA TODAY Sports

K-State pulled off its most surprising win of the season, defeating No. 8 KU in Manhattan, 70-63.

The win moves K-State to .500 in the last six meetings between the teams in The Little Apple, so you'd think Wildcat fans would have this court-storming thing figured out by now. But after the game, the coaches postgame handshake was interrupted when the onrushing crowd pushed Bill Self onto the scorer's table.

And that wasn't all. In front of the KU bench, Jayhawk players and staff got into an altercation with K-State fans joining the celebration.

I'll forgo the finger-wagging rebukes for those involved. I'd rather it hadn't happened, but nobody particularly cares what I think.
