Former AD's and All-Big 12 Lists

Scott Sewell-USA TODAY Sports

Our deepest condolences to the family of Former K-State Vice President and Athletic Director Bob Krause, as Krause passed away Wednesday at the age of 70 after a battle with cancer. While his tenure at K-State ended on a sour note, Krause and his wife Marty Vanier are long-time K-State supporters and financial backers.

The Associated Press All-Big 12 Team was released yesterday, and the Wildcats football team was represented by four young men. The Cats were led by Will Geary's (DT) First Team nod, with Glenn Gronkowski (TE), Cody Whitehair (OL), and Morgan Burns (All-Purpose) appearing on the Second Team. One other Kansan made the list, Brady Foltz (OL at TCU) earned a Second Team selection.

K-State Football also inked two junior college players at the beginning of the JUCO early-signing period. Abdul Beecham is a 6'4" 310lb Guard from Blinn CC, and Byron Pringle is a 6'2" Wide Receiver from Butler CC.

But with the news of two signings, some other news came in that Kalin Heath has decided to transfer from K-State. Heath was a 3-star prospect from Georgia, but was stuck in the currently huge log-jam at RB. Best of luck to Mr. Heath in his future endeavors.

Finally, to lighten the mood back up, Jake Trotter at ESPN released his "Way-too-early" hot seat list for Big 12 coaches in 2016. Hint: Bill Snyder is safe.

The VolleyCats season may be over, but the awards are still rolling in. Junior Katie Brand was named an All-America Honorable Mention by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. This is the second such honor for the setter, and makes her the third Wildcat to earn an All-American honor in back-to-back years.
