ROW: K-State adds four new rowers to class of 2016
Rowing is one of those sports where schools hunt down athletes from other sports who fit the mold, and the quartet of signings announced over the last two days by K-State rowing coach Patrick Sweeney are no exception.
Today Sweeney announced the signing of two new rowers: Macy Flory, a basketball player from West Franklin High and Quenemo, Kansas, and Paige Reed, a cross-country runner from Prairie Village and Shawnee Mission East.
Wednesday, two other recruits, also from the cross-country field, were inked. Mackenzie Gwinner from Manhattan High and Katy Trupp from Topeka Hayden.
