Although we should, by now, know that one can take nothing whatsoever for granted in the Big 12 basketball season -- except, of course, for KU's Darth Vader grip on the proceedings -- tonight should represent the easiest game on the conference slate. The Wildcats have not lost to Texas Tech since 2009. Put another way, since before Bill Snyder actually returned to the sideline. They've claimed nine straight over the Red Raiders, and this year's entry from Lubbock doesn't appear to be a massive improvement over the last several.
So tonight should go the Wildcats' way, which would mean K-State is actually on a winning streak. But there's 40 minutes of basketball to play before we can say that, and although the last week has been promising, let's not take it for granted.
Go Cats!
