As bad as things have been, this afternoon a team K-State beat took the best team in the country to double-overtime. Can the Wildcats put together the effort to steal a game on the road against a ranked team?
We'd be lying if we said it was likely, but it's certainly not out of the realm of possibility. And a stunning upset in Norman would completely upend the narrative of this season, possibly even putting K-State back in position to somehow squirm their way into the NCAA tournament. But that's the optimistic view, and this team hasn't given Wildcat Nation a lot of cause for optimism.
After their effort on Wednesday, though, we're hoping for the best.
