Kansas State Injury Report: Week 3

Louisiana Tech comes into Manhattan accompanied by a M.A.S.H unit as injuries are beginning to pile up for both teams.

Dixson likely won't have many breathers as his primary backups are all injured.

Injuries are pilling up for both teams, turning the usually light injury report into a more complex read as you prep for today's game against Louisiana Tech.

Kansas State

Boston Stiverson (OL)-Leg

Stiverson missed the entire game against UTSA and at this point I think its safe to assume the earliest we'll see him, if we see him play at all this season, will be the conference opener against Oklahoma State.

Jesse Ertz (QB)-Leg

Ertz status remains unchanged as he is expected to miss the majority if not all of the season.

Dante Barnett (S)-Shoulder

Barnett didn't play against UTSA either, and like Stiverson I think the earliest we'll see him in action again is against Oklahoma State.

Matt McCrane (K)-Leg

First, let me just say I'm getting tired of typing leg next to all these players. Second, McCrane was injured when a UTSA player came in hot and heavy on an extra point and rolled into McCrane's plant leg. Later in the game Fox showed a shot where McCrane's leg was black and blue. It didn't look pretty. I'd expect Jack Cantele to continue as the place kicker for the foreseeable future.

Alex Delton (QB)-Knee

Delton is the surprise addition to this week's injury report, as Kellis Robinett reported earlier this week that he injured his knee during the game against UTSA. Obviously, Bill Snyder hasn't commented on the injury, but it's safe to say that two of the four QB's battling for the starting job are out and will miss at least a decent part of the season with injuries.

Louisiana Tech

Kirby Wixson (C)-Shoulder

Skip Holtz confirmed this week that Wixson will miss the game against Kansas State due to a shoulder injury. This would be the second straight week Wixson will miss due to the injury.

Cam Manning (C)-Undisclosed

An undisclosed injury also kept reserve center Cam Manning out for the first two games. Manning's status is questionable, although if he can play it will help bolster an offensive line that has suffered a ton of injuries at the center position.

Carlos Henderson (WR)-Finger

A month ago Carlos Henderson underwent surgery to fix an injured finger. He has been playing with a split, however, coaches are optimistic he can move onto just tape. If so, he could be a more effective weapon in the passing attack.

Jarred Craft (RB) & Blake Martin (RB)-Hand

Both the second and third string running back's for the Bulldogs are dealing with broken hands, and are not expected to play against Kansas State.

Secdrick Cooper (DB)-Hand

Copper also suffered a broken half during Tech's first game against Southern, however, he was able to get a cast put on, and played as the fifth defensive back during both of Tech's first game.

Aaron Brown (DL)-Suspension

Aaron Brown will return to the field after serving a two week suspension. Brown will start with the first team defense against Kansas State.
