#89 Blaise Gammon |
Position: Fullback Previous College: None Projection: Redshirt Status: On Scholarship |
Blaise Robert Gammon (b. Oct. 9, 1996) is a very tall specimen who will walk on and play tight end for K-State.
His father, Kendall Gammon, was a Pro Bowl long snapper who played 15 seasons in the NFL, including the final seven with the Kansas City Chiefs, and now is the current sideline reporter for the Chiefs Radio Network.
Blaise played for Blue Valley High School West under head coach Scott Wright, where he was an honorable mention all-state selection for the Jaguars by The Topeka Capital-Journal and The Wichita Eagle after recording 300 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
Gammon earned all-metro honors as a senior from The Kansas City Star, while he was a first-team all-league pick.
He also was an all-state basketball player who averaged 15 points and nine rebounds per game, helping BVW to earn third place at the state tournament. He is extremely likely to redshirt this season, but impact us in the future.
