#14 Hunter Hall
Previous College: None
Status: Preferred Walk-On
Hunter Hall is a preferred walk-on quarterback from Clearwater High School. After missing the playoffs in 2012, Hall led the Indians to a 4-2 record heading into district play and had them poised to break into the postseason.
But alas, he fractured his right fibula in the seventh game of the season, Clearwater lost two of its last three games and those playoff dreams were dashed.
Clearwater began last season 0-5 before posting consecutive wins over Towanda-Circle and Haven.
The Indians then held No. 1 Andale to its lowest scoring output of the season, but still fell 21-0. Clearwater drove deep into Andale territory a couple of times, but came up empty due to an interception and a turnover on downs.
That set up a Week 9 district playoff game against Wichita Trinity, which the Indians won 24-21. Hall rushed for 117 yards in the win to propel Clearwater into the Class 4A Division II playoffs at long last.
The Indians outlasted fellow playoff newcomer Wamego 14-7, but they were bounced the following week at Holcomb, 49-14, which was ejected the following week, 57-13, by the same Andale team the Indians slowed down.
Hall is an impressive athlete and has quite an arm. He was one of just four Kansas athletes to break 200 feet in the javelin this year, throwing for 200-5 at the Holcomb Class 4A Regional. He is almost certain to redshirt, however.
