Kalin Alexis Heath (b. Feb. 10, 1996) is one of Andre Coleman's latest prize recruits, a promising young running back from Cartersville High School in Georgia. He likely will redshirt this season and await his turn in the future.
He played for the Hurricanes under head coaches Frank Barden and Joey King. He helped Cartersville to finish with a 12-2 record and reach the state semifinals as a senior. The team also went 11-1 as a junior.
Heath was named The Daily Tribune News' Bartow County Player of the Year after he totaled 3,594 rushing yards and 48 touchdowns during his career, including rushing for nearly 1,000 yards and 21 touchdowns to go along with 442 receiving yards as a senior.
He was an honorable-mention all-state player by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, earned all-area and all-county honors, and also competed three years in track.
