Jason Michael Lierz (b. Nov. 28, 1993) did not see game action in 2013 or 2014 after redshirting in 2012 under head coach Rion Rhodes at Hutchinson Community College. He projects as a guard or center on the scout team.
While with the Salt Hawks, Lierz was a JUCO teammate of current Wildcats Kody Cook and Terrale Johnson.
Lierz prepped under head coach Joe Schartz at Manhattan High School, where he helped to lead the Indians to a 10-1 record in 2011, when they also were league, district and regional champions. As a high schooler, he was a teammate of current Wildcats Deante Burton, Winston Dimel, Taylor Hilgers and Johnson.
I really know nothing else about Lierz besides that. Maybe one of our Manhattan native readers can shed some more light on his high school career or his playing potential? Until then, he looks like a career scout-teamer to me.
