43 DAYS TO KICKOFF: Drew Scott

In which BracketCat counts down the 43rd day until kickoff with a profile of long snapper Drew Scott.

No offense to today's profiled long snapper, but this guy always will be K-State's true No. 43 to me.

Andrew Patrick "Drew" Scott (b. March 12, 1995) is a preferred walk-on long snapper from Iowa who earned valuable playing time as a redshirt freshman.

He will continue to battle for primary long-snapping responsibilities in 2015, but likely will remain as the backup to redshirt senior and projected starter Dalton Converse.

After redshirting in 2013, Scott appeared in four games last season, serving as the primary long snapper for a majority of the first three contests. He also played against West Virginia.

Scott prepped under head coach Duane Schulte at Xavier High School, where he successfully connected on 67 of 67 snaps during the course of his junior and senior seasons.

He received a five-star rating at Kohl's Longsnapping Camp prior to his senior year.

Scott helped the Saints to a 14-1 record and a Class 4A runner-up finish in 2012. He also competed in basketball for two years and baseball for four years.
