76 DAYS TO KICKOFF: Ajahne Brager

In which BracketCat counts down the 76th day until kickoff with a profile of offensive lineman Ajahne Brager.

For some reason, Ajahne Brager reminds me physically of K-State great Ryan Young. I don't think he's quite that talented, though — Young played multiple seasons in the NFL.

Ajahne Dequan Brager (b. Nov. 27, 1994) is a young offensive lineman who benefited from a redshirt season and saw action as a reserve offensive lineman last season. He will compete for playing time again as a sophomore.

Last year, Brager played in four games, serving as a reserve offensive lineman against Stephen F. Austin, UTEP, Oklahoma State and Kansas. He was Cody Whitehair's primary backup at left tackle.

Interestingly enough, though, Brager did not start for either the Purple or White teams in the 2015 spring game, although he did play for both. This seems to imply he already has been passed over by freshman Bryce Fitzner.

An all-district performer as a junior in 2011 and second-team pick in 2012, Brager recorded 162 tackles, 14 sacks and 11 forced fumbles during his prep career at Magnolia High School, so he has some history playing defense.

I suppose if offensive line doesn't work out for him, Brager has the potential to switch to defensive tackle for us later.
