Kansas State basketball receives... a vote in the coaches poll

Hey, it's better than no votes.

No, we're not number one. We got one vote.

Today's USA Today Coaches Poll and the AP Poll have been released. Kansas State doesn't have anything to do with the latter, whose top five are Michigan State, Kansas, North Carolina, Iowa State, and Kentucky.

But the coaches poll? Way down there at the bottom, you'll see that someone placed Kansas State 25th on their ballot. Our best guess, after looking over the list of coaches poll voters, is that it was probably Georgia head coach Mark Fox. But that is, of course, just speculation.

The Big 12 is well-represented in both polls. Below, you can see for yourself where the Big 12 sits; in the AP, besides the Jayhawks and Cyclones we have Oklahoma in seventh, West Virginia 14th, Baylor 16th. Upcoming out-of-conference opponent Texas A&M is 25th in the coaches poll and 28th in the AP.
