#93 Davis Clark |
Position: Defensive End Previous College: None Projection: Scout Team Status: Walk-On |
Davis Matthew Clark (b. Aug. 20, 1994) is a walk-on defensive end from Overland Park who prepped at Blue Valley West High School under head coach Scott Wright. Clark, who first came in as a defensive tackle, redshirted in 2013.
A three-year letter-winner who was named an all-state performer at defensive end by The Topeka Capital-Journal, Clark also was an all-league honoree at both defensive end and tight end as a senior in 2012.
He also earned honorable-mention all-league accolades as a junior in 2011, then helped to lead his team to an 8-3 record, and district and regional championships, as a senior.
Clark also qualified for the state wrestling championship in 2012 after winning the league championship. That's encouraging, because wrestlers tend to make great linemen because they understand leverage.
After redshirting, I expect Clark to contribute mainly on the scout team and possibly special teams in the near future.
