I'm not even going to bother with a lead-up here.

Basketball

The Big 12 Tournament is go! There will be mucho content here at BotC today. Later this morning, a number of tournament-specific posts will go live. Keep your eyes peeled for the following:

  • How to Watch post
  • Game Thread for K-State's game against Iowa State
  • Open Thread for non-K-State games

There may be other treats from Curtis Kitchen and Jon Morse as well.

Kellis Robinett wants you to draft K-State All-Decade team (KC Star)

Tennis

In other big K-State news, after 30 years coaching K-State tennis, Steve Bietau announced his retirement today. Although it appeared he would stay through the end of the season, his retirement is effective immediately. Assistant coach Liz Ullathorne will step into his shoes. WIBW and the Topeka Capital-Journal also carried the story.

The sudden nature of the announcement raises some flags, at least for me. Any thoughts?

Miscellany

The word from on-high is that the Slate comment streak is a bit played out. In other words, you are not obligated to keep posting comments here just to keep the streak going, especially on a day when there is plenty of other content to feast your nerd brains on. Go gorge yourself on basketball. The Slate will (amazingly) still be here. :)
