After a week off, both men and women return to action with simultaneous contests against ranked competition. Both squads are trying to right the ship, and for the men it's a critical day for their post-season hopes.
The Opposition
After a tough loss in Austin last month, the Wildcats will welcome Texas to the Octagon in a game could very well define the rest of the season. K-State cannot afford to lose home games against any team other than Kansas; a loss today will put the Wildcats on the wrong side of the bubble with little hope to move back into the green zone.
The game: Kansas State (15-7, 5-4) hosts Texas (18-4, 7-2, 15/18). K-State leads the series 16-11, and they're 8-3 in Manhattan.
Odds: The Wildcats are a four-point favorite.
Tipoff: 12:30pm CT at Bramlage Coliseum (12,528) in Manhattan, Kansas.
Tickets: $50/65.
Television: Big 12 Network, with Mitch Holthus on play-by-play and Reid Gettys on color. The entire Big 12 Network is on board for today's game, so no need for the clearance list for a change.
Radio: K-State Sports Network (also Sirius 138/XM 194), with Wyatt Thompson and Stan Weber.
Online: Video streaming via ESPN3, Audio streaming via K-State All-Access, live stats via Gametracker.
The women are in action as well, at the same time and not televised -- and you know what that means by now, right?
The game: Kansas State (9-12, 3-7) visits West Virginia (19-3, 8-2, 17/20). The two teams had never played before West Virginia joined the Big 12 last season, and the Mountaineers won both contests last year.
Tipoff: 1pm CT at WVU Coliseum (14,000) in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Television: Not televised.
Radio: K-State Sports Network, with Brian Smoller and Claire Coggins.
Online: No video streaming at all. Audio streaming via K-State All-Access, live stats via Gametracker.
