After an awful opening weekend which saw the Wildcats swept out of Southern California due to lifeless bats -- the first season-opening sweep since a 1981 fiasco against Oral Roberts -- K-State makes a one-game stopover in San Francisco before crossing the bay to take part in the Gael Invitational at Saint Mary's over the weekend.

The series: Kansas State (0-3) visits San Francisco (1-2). It's the first-ever meeting between the schools in baseball; K-State is 6-9 all-time against schools from the West Coast Conference.

The opponent: It's the home opener for San Francisco, who dropped two of three last weekend at Cal-Riverside, being outscored 22-13. Derek Atkinson and Bradley Zimmer are leading the Dons' attack, both coming out of that series hitting .500, and newcomers Matt Sinatro and Nico Giarratano scored five runs and had three RBI between them.

First Pitch: 4pm CT at Benedetti Diamond in San Francisco, California.

Expected Starters: Sophomore Landon Busch (0-1, 81.00) suffered the loss in relief in the season opener, but will make his first career start today. Busch was 0-0, 4.58 in 13 appearances last year. He'll be opposed by San Francisco freshman Grant Goodman, making his first appearance for the Dons. Goodman chose the Dons over the San Francisco Giants after being drafted in the 36th round.

Television: No, not yet. Patience.

Radio: 1350 KMAN, with (presumably) Rob Voelker on play-by-play. Pre-game starts at 3:30.

Online: No video streaming. Audio streaming via K-State All-Access, live stats via Gametracker. For an alternate listening experience, you can check out USF's play-by-play man Max Harris via USF's DonsLive, via Stretch Internet.
