What a horrible weekend. Aside from the Lady Cats getting a much-needed win and a couple of decent performances in track, the whole thing was a disaster. Let's just forget about it.

Men's Basketball

For lack of a free throw, in the end, a win turned into a 14-point loss. Recaps and stuff:

Baseball

Not only were the BatCats swept in their opening series at Cal Poly, they were outscored 18-4. Fisher is the only Wildcat batting over .200 with more than two plate appearances; he's hitting .286 and has an on-base percentage of .545. Everyone else was stymied; Blair DeBord and Mitch Meyer have yet to reach base. One bright note: Levi MaVorhis lasted five innings in the season opener and didn't give up a run.

Track

With a massive field at the Iowa State Classic, it's not surprising that K-State didn't run away with the event. There weren't a lot of wins, but overall it's fair to say it was an impressive performance overall given the quality of competition.

On Friday, Tia Gamble took the women's 600y, setting the school oversize track record, and Ifeanyichukwu Otuonye and Devin Dick finished 1-3 in the long jump. Carlos Rodriguez also set a school oversize track record, finishing second in the men's 200m, and Meryl Mbeng was second in the women's long jump.

On Saturday, Erica Twiss scored yet another win in the 60m hurdles, and Dani Winters got back on the winning track in the shot put. Second-place finishes went to Rodriguez in the 400m (his first time running the event competitively) and Zack Riley in the high jump.

Equestrian

Women's Golf

There were eleven teams at the Florida State Matchup in Tallahassee this weekend. Florida Gulf Coast finished eleventh; K-State finished tenth.
