It's not a must-win, but it'd be really, really helpful.

The Wildcats can all but remove themselves from the bubble with a win, barring unforeseen calamity down the road. What has gone before:

Whereas Monday was a situation where a loss wouldn't hurt more than our pride but a win would be huge, tonight is more nuanced. A loss wouldn't be horribly damaging, because what tonight represents is not a must-win situation but one in a series of chances to pick up a particular sort of win. Getting that win out of the way would ease the pressure on the Wildcats going down the stretch, and would arguably make it easier, psychologically, to play loose and relaxed in Norman and Stillwater. So while it's not a critical game, it's absolutely an important one.

Naturally, the key X factor tonight is the guy wearing a suit in front of the other bench. Well, that and the Paradox.

Let's get it done, Wildcats!
