Crowdsourcing 2014 K-State Football: Week 15 - Baylor

Our regular season comes to an end in a town where our dreams did the same two years ago.

I hope he's healthy and, I hope he plays.

It's easy to forget how much fun it is to slaughter your rival when the games are 52 weeks apart. Fortunately, the Wildcats didn't forget how to play against their in-state rivals, out-gunning them to a 38 point victory.

Our voters were even more dominant, with no one being flat-out wrong this week. It may have been one of the easiest multiple-choice questions of all time, but I am still very proud of all of you.

It's Gameday in Waco, and Bryce Petty has a concussion.

Of all the conference championship games going on this weekend, this matchup was dubbed the most worthy of the hype and prestige that comes with the iconic Saturday morning pre-game show.

And despite Petty's head injury, it's not stopping the potentially all-conference quarterback from playing on senior day. No matter what side of the fence you are on about the issue, he has had a stellar career and deserves a send-off consistent with the quality of his play.

Even though there is no true "conference championship game", K-State - Baylor serves as a de facto championship, with the winner clinching a share of the title. Of course, if TCU loses, this will become the championship game, and Bob Bowlsby will be on top of a Dallas skyscraper, Montezuma bottle in hand, pointing in the general direction of Connecticut and laughing deliriously.

Baylor comes into this game needing some help to get into the playoffs, but is still very much in the discussion for one of the top four spots. The Bears have been very solid at home this year, winning by an average of five touchdowns. Their only loss was suffered on the road against West Virginia, in which Bryce Petty completed just 44% of his passes.

The Bears are in the top ten in all three human polls, and are looked upon favorably by the computers. According to S&P, Baylor is the eighth best team in the nation, ranking again in the top ten in defense (seventh), but just outside of that in offense (11th).

The F/+ rankings are not quite as high on the Bears, but 11th overall is nothing to shake a stick at.

Vegas has us as an 8.5 dog, but that's just where we want them. Buckle your seatbelts.
