K-State donors raise funds to send Kaiden Schroeder to bowl game

+

Heartwarming news reported by Judy L. Thomas at the Kansas City Star: thanks to the efforts of many K-State fans in raising funds, nine-year-old Kaiden Schroeder will be attending the Wildcats' bowl game.

Schoeder, a McPherson native who suffers from leukemia, is already well-known for scoring a touchdown in K-State's spring game, and ran out onto the field with the team prior to Saturday's win over Kansas. His friendship with Ryan Mueller has been the focal point of the "service" portion of Mueller's consideration for several awards this season, including his candidacy for the Lott Impact Trophy and his nomination to the Allstate Good Works Team.

We'd be surprised if some, of not many, of you helped contribute, and we're thrilled that the campaign's been successful. EMAW!
