We've already had two nights worth of #MACtion, and the party continues tonight with three games all starting an hour apart. Football from 6-11! Or even later! None of tonight's games is critically important, though Cincinnati and California are trying to become bowl-eligible. Friday's lone game would have been a C-USA Championship Game preview in many seasons past, but it may be entirely forgettable this year.
The early flight Saturday includes a pair of top-25 matchups, but neither is terribly compelling. As we covered in Wednesday's FEPO, there's plenty of potential schadenfreude to be felt; keep the remote handy and your internet Bat-signal tuned to your chosen method of hearing "OMG, turn on this game now!".
The centerpiece of the afternoon slate, for good or ill, is Mississippi State at Alabama. One way or another, this is going to shake up the rankings. There really isn't much in opposition to that SEC battle; you could suffer through Nebraska-Wisconsin, or watch TCU pummel Kansas or Oklahoma take out their frustrations on Texas Tech.
The early evening group offers more options, especially if you actually get the Pac-12 Network and can settle in for Utah-Stanford. Missouri visits A&M, Auburn travels to Georgia, Florida State's at Miami... lots of good stuff. Late night kickoffs include Arizona State at Oregon State, which will be... explosive, if nothing else.
There's also some FCS and D-II action, especially if you're rockin' the ol' ESPN3. So get ready, for the second time this season, for the first of two straight Saturdays in which you can twiddle the dial to your heart's content.
