Open Game Thread: Kansas State vs. Oklahoma

Get ready, Wildcat fans. K-State's fate is pretty much on the line right here.

It'll be awesome if Bob looks even less happy than this at 2:30pm.

When: October 18, 2014 | 11:00 a.m. CT

Where: Norman, Oklahoma | Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium (82,112)

Media: 1350 KMAN | ESPN

Today marks K-State's first high-profile contests of the Big 12 season: the volleyball team's clash with Texas tonight at Ahearn and this morning's showdown in Norman. It's been a fantastic October for the entire state of Kansas except for Lawrence. Can our charmed lives continue?

There's a great deal of cause for optimism today, as multiple national pundits are actually expecting the Wildcats to take away their second straight victory in Norman. K-State's defense is designed to thwart Oklahoma's most reliable form of attack, and Oklahoma's been prone to giving up yards and points. A win will also be a wonderful thing for sports radio in Oklahoma, because nothing makes sports radio in Oklahoma better than people wondering if Bob Stoops has lost his groove. Buckle in, because today could be a real zinger.

Be sure to check our storystream for all this week's coverage, and remember that if you're in Kansas City you're not just welcome but encouraged to get down to the Granfalloon (608 Ward Parkway) and join Kitchen for all the fun.

For those of you who aren't in Norman and can't make it to the Granfalloon, stick around here and join the conversation. Go Wildcats!
