It feels like it's been a long time since we have played Tech, but here we are only two weeks later gearing up for our second Big 12 conference road trip. A round of applause for the 79.1% of those who chose the correct outcome. I hope you all bought lottery tickets.

The Wildcats head south for the first time this year against an Oklahoma team that has not had the greatest past two weekends. First, a hard-fought loss against TCU. Then a hard-fought victory against the Longhorns in which their offense was outgained 2:1. Next up? A top 15 opponent coming off a bye who desperately needs a victory against a top-flight opponent to prove it's legitimacy.
Wildcats vs Sooners coverage
There were a lot of pre-season pessimists for this one. It was the only game that the majority voted a loss, with Baylor being the next closest contest. Seeing that it is an away game against a Bob Stoops coached football team, I can't say I blame those 111, myself probably included. But gauging by the few comments I have read from the slate today, I would not be shocked if our collective enthusiasm has changed since mid-August.
According to the S&P+ rankings, their offense is vastly superior to ours, grading out at fifth overall compared to our 46th overall ranking. Defensively the clubs are about as even as it gets, forming a Tiger sandwich around the 15th rated LSU Bayou Bengals. Overall, they out-rank us by 21 places, but most humans think that they are only slightly superior to us.
Never mind all that fancy numbers talk though. It'll be a great game (especially if you go to the Granfalloon) win or lose. Ya'll go 'n vote now, ya hear?
