Crowdsourcing 2014 K-State Football: Preseason Part One

Well, hello there, friends. It's less than ten days until we once again fall into the sweet, comforting embrace of Kansas State football, which means we've really got to hurry the hell up and get this done, don't we?

If you've been with us the past two seasons, you know the drill. If you're new, a primer: there will be four posts over the next few days asking you to choose one of eight options. Those eight options just happen to coincide with the eight possible outcomes for the Cats in each quarter of the upcoming season. We tabulate those results and keep them to hold against you in the future. No, wait, that's not right, is it?

It's hard to remember things sometimes.

Seriously, each Monday (except for idle weeks) we'll post another poll, asking you to predict the outcome of that week's game based on score: Cats win by more or less than seven, or lose by more or less than seven, or "dude, I dunno, call it a tie". And as the season goes on, we'll track whether you, the crowd, the gestalt, were correct.

Some might refer to this as the "damnit, look at how bad we missed on Baylor" deal. And it'll look a lot like this, only with lots of pretty numbers in all those empty cells.

After we get a couple of weeks into the season, this task will be managed by the inestimable PervisPascosTravelingCircus, but he'll be out of town the first two weeks to I, your Benevolent Despot, will get you started down the road to optimism and/or despair.
