The first half of Senior Day is in the books and several Wildcat seniors have already celebrated.
Jake Waters is 14-20 for 184 yards and two touchdowns in just one half. Curry Sexton's caught five balls for 59 yards. Zach Truillo snagged a bullet from Waters that was drifting away from him with one hand for a 16-yard gain. DeMarcus Robinson busted a 35-yard run on the opening drive. Randall Evans picked off Michael Cummings on a hilarious play where a Jayhawk receiver literally punted the ball straight up in the air.
And oh, yeah, Tyler Lockett's got seven catches for 104 yards and two touchdowns, giving him sole possession of K-State's all-time receptions record and tying him with his daddy for the all-time receiving touchdown record.
As for guys who aren't seniors, Dante Barnett's got an interception, Charles Jones has 41 yards on the ground, and Morgan Burns busted a 65-yard kickoff return.
Aside from KU's lone scoring drive, which resulted in a 27-yard touchdown pass from Cummings to Nick Harwell, everything's coming up roses. Hey, even the PAT got blocked after that score.
Join us for even more fun in the second half, as it's almost certain some of those seniors you barely recognize are going to get into the game late.
