#36 Logan Thompson |
Position: Linebacker Previous College: None Projection: Scout Team Status: Preferred Walk-On |
Logan Robert Thompson (b. May 24, 1995) is a preferred walk-on linebacker with Bieber hair from Sedgwick (which, ironically enough, lies predominantly within Harvey County, not Sedgwick County) who redshirted in 2013.
A four-year letter-winner at Sedgwick High School under head coach Jeff Werner, Thompson was named a first-team All-Kansas Class 4A linebacker by VarsityKansas.com.
Thompson helped the Cardinals to earn back-to-back league, district and bi-district championships. He recorded more than 2,900 total yards and 36 total touchdowns in 12 games as a senior.
A first-team all-league linebacker as a junior and senior, Thompson also was named an honorable mention all-state linebacker and quarterback as a junior. He was selected to play in the 2013 Kansas Shrine Bowl.
Thompson also was a standout in baseball and basketball. He earned two all-league selections in baseball, while he was a first-team all-league pick in basketball as a junior. He projects as a scout team player this season.
