#61 Drew Liddle |
Position: Offensive Line Previous College: None Projection: Second-String Status: Walk-On |
Drew Curry Liddle (b. Jan. 30, 1992) is a hard-working offensive lineman who has served as Kansas State's backup center while playing on special teams for the last two years.
Although Liddle started at right guard for the Purple team in the 2014 spring game, I suspect he will return to his original position of backing up B.J. Finney at center for the duration of his senior season.
Liddle's first playing time came against Iowa State in 2011. But his time on the field increased dramatically in 2012, when he saw action in five games as both a reserve offensive lineman and on special teams.
He recovered a fumble on a punt against Texas, and also played against Missouri State, Miami, Kansas and Texas Tech. He then played in seven games in 2013 as a reserve offensive lineman and on special teams.
Liddle lettered three years for Grain Valley under head coach Forrest Rovello, earned first-team all-state honors from the Associated Press and was a second team all-state pick by the Missouri Football Coaches Association.
He also was named all-conference as a sophomore, junior and senior in high school; led his team to the state semifinals and a 12-1 record as a sophomore; and lettered four years in track and two years in basketball.
