#67 Reid Najvar |
Position: Offensive Line Previous College: None Projection: Second-String Status: On Scholarship |
Reid August Najvar (b. July 26, 1994) is a physical lineman who used the 2013 season to develop and will add depth along the offensive line. He started at right tackle for the White team in the spring game.
A first-team all-district pick and team captain as a senior at Klein Oak High School, Najvar was named to the 2012 preseason All-Greater Houston first team and The Houston Chronicle's 2012 Top 100 football recruits.
His brother, Jordan, played tight end at Baylor for four years after redshirting the 2009 season at Stanford and was signed as a rookie free agent by the Dallas Cowboys following the 2014 NFL Draft.
Reid himself projects as a right guard for us, where I predict he will slide over as the primary backup to junior Boston Stiverson once Luke Hayes (hopefully) becomes a starter. Watch Reid's highlights here.
