Reed Bergstrom (b. Sept. 2, 1992) is a walk-on offensive lineman who played eight-man football at Clifton-Clyde High School and JUCO football at Butler Community College. He redshirted in 2013 and has two years to play two.

He is a big, strong kid who started at center for the White team in the spring game, but should settle into our third-string offensive line unit after Drew Liddle is moved back to backup center from starting right guard this fall.

Bergstrom was banged up a lot during his senior year, which probably is why he didn't attract any major-college attention, but make no mistake, he can play at this level and he is an absolute beast in the weight room.

He played two seasons at Butler, a perennial national championship contender, under head coach Troy Morrell.

Bergstrom helped to lead the Grizzlies to a 22-2 record in the 2011 and 2012 seasons, including a national runner-up finish as a sophomore and a Citizens Bank Bowl victory as a freshman.

He earned All-Region VI honors, was voted to the All-Jayhawk Conference first team in 2013 and also was selected as one of the top 21 players in the conference in 2012.

At Clifton-Clyde, Bergstrom prepped under head coach Russ Steinbrock. He led the team to a pair of 10-win seasons as a sophomore and junior, including a state runner-up finish as a sophomore.

Bergstrom, who was selected to play in the state and Kansas vs. Nebraska 8-Man All-Star Games, also lettered in basketball and track, placing third in state in the discus. And he has a killer Justin Bieber 'do.
