#76 Ajhane Brager |
Position: Offensive Line Previous College: None Projection: Second-String Status: On Scholarship |
Ajhane Dequan Brager (b. Nov. 27, 1994) is an young offensive lineman who benefited from a redshirt season, given all the returning starters and backups we have in place. It gave him plenty of time to learn the ropes.
He started at left tackle for the White team in the spring game, and while he almost certainly won't end up starting in the fall, it will be interesting to see whether Brager ends up in the mix as the primary backup.
Truth be told, though, if he remains at left guard, Cody Whitehair will be the true backup to whomever starts at LT.
An all-district performer as a junior in 2011 and second-team pick in 2012, Brager recorded 162 tackles, 14 sacks and 11 forced fumbles during his prep career at Magnolia High School, so he has some history playing defense.
I suppose if offensive line doesn't work out for him, Brager has the potential to switch to defensive tackle for us later.
