With two players missing, K-State heads to Austin to try and do the unthinkable: avoid the first round of the Big 12 tournament. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, they must win, and they also need some help from the Sooners, Mountaineers, or Cyclones.
The game: Kansas State visits the Texas Longhorns. K-State leads the all-time series 17-12, but trails 7-6 in Austin. Bruce Weber is 4-3 against the Longhorns, which also happens to be his record against Rick Barnes. Barnes is 11-11 against the Wildcats. It's senior day for the Horns, who'll be saying goodbye to Jonathan Holmes and Tarale Murry.
Odds: Texas is favored by 10 points. That is not a misprint.
Tipoff: Saturday, March 7 at 3:00pm CT, Frank Erwin Center (16,540) in Austin, Texas.
Tickets: $15-50.
Television: ESPN2 with Mark Neely and Stephen Howard.
Radio: K-State Sports Network, with Wyatt Thompson and Stan Weber. The game will be available on Sirius 137/XM 199, featuring the Texas feed with Craig Way and Eddie Oran.
